On October 27, 2009, Allegheny County Executive Dan Onorato issued an Executive Order and signed into law several key sustainability policies for the County. The order calls for an annual report to the public on the County government’s performance against specific measures, and it establishes target goals to reduce energy, water and greenhouse gas emissions by 20% in the next five years.
