Physical Disabilities
Support services to help persons with physical disabilities live independently in their homes and communities.
Eligibility for Home- and Community-based Services (HCBS) depends upon an individual's income and resources, need for care and availability of services.
Sometimes home- and community-based services are called “waivers” because the federal government has to waive some of its rules in order for the state to provide services in the community.
For more information on home- and community-based services available in Pennsylvania, call the Long-term Care Hotline toll-free at 1-866-286-3636 or visit the Long Term Care.
