General Federal Income Tax Information
Important Notice: NO federal tax books or forms will be sent through the mail to anyone in 2012. Information about how to prepare tax returns is available on the IRS site. Tax forms are available at many public libraries and on the IRS site.
The Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC)
Provides eligible low-income families and individuals with the opportunity to retain more of their earned wages through the completion of a tax credit claim on their tax return. For a full-time minimum wage worker, the EITC could represent as much as three months of take-home pay.

Offers both software-supported federal income tax return preparation for those who qualify AND access to IRS e-forms for wage earners at any income level.
I Can E-File
Offers users preparation and e-filing of federal and Pa. state income taxes. There are no income limits for using the I Can E-File software. I Can e-File is generally for those filing basic tax forms.
