Patricia L. Valentine, DHS Executive Deputy Director for Integrated Program Services

As DHS Executive Deputy Director for Integrated Program Services, Patricia Valentine is responsible for leading and promoting integration of all programmatic work in the Allegheny County Department of Human Services.
Prior to becoming Executive Deputy Director for Integrated Program Services in June 2011, Ms. Valentine spent 13 years as DHS Deputy Director for the Office of Behavioral Health in the Allegheny County Department of Human Services.
Ms. Valentine has a particular interest in promoting meaningful stakeholder participation in all levels of the human services system in Allegheny County. In addition, she is interested in promoting integration, quality and efficiency throughout the service system and collaboration among human services and other components of the Allegheny County community.
In 2004, Ms. Valentine received the Public Servant of the Year Award from NAMI Pennsylvania. Ms. Valentine also received the 2007 Pennsylvania Community Providers Association Presidents Award and the County Commissioners Association of Pennsylvania MH/MR Program Administrators Affiliate of the Year Award in 2003.
Ms. Valentine is a lifelong resident of the Pittsburgh area, and received her Master’s degree in Rehabilitation Counseling from the University of Pittsburgh.
