SALARY: $1,733.33 per month

Minimum Requirements: High School diploma or its equivalent AND six (6) months of customer service experience, to include the use of PC and Windows based software. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.

Duties:
- Prepares documents for scanning and cashiering;
- Records documents;
- Processes outgoing and incoming mail;
- Operates office equipment (personal computer, copier, fax, calculator, etc.);
- Performs index data entry of recorded documents;
- Compares and proofs scanned digital images;
- Maintains accurate records;
- Performs other related duties as required or requested.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of:
- General office practices and procedures including filing, recordkeeping, proofreading, etc.
- Basic personal computer operation
- Windows based software
Ability to:
- Type at least 45 wpm
- Operate office equipment (personal computer, copier, fax, calculator, etc.)
- Work with the public
- Maintain work place privacy rules
- Adapt quickly to a fast pace and/or changing work settings
- Learn and adapt to new computer hardware and software
- Follow oral and written instructions
- Communicate both verbally and in writing
- Establish effective working relationships with supervisors, co-workers, the general public, etc.
Residency: Must become a resident of Allegheny County within one (1) year of appointment.
Veteran's Preference: Will be awarded to eligible candidates.
