The John J. Kane Regional Centers, a leader in long term care in western Pennsylvania has Administrative Internship positions available for the full time student who have an interest in a health care and or long term care work setting. The Kane Regional Center system has four regional centers located in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania and more than 1,000 nursing home beds. Our facilities employ approximately 1,250 employees.

The Kane Regional Centers offer a 6 to 10 week internship program for a student who is enrolled in a four year college degree program. The student must be enrolled as a full time student and have an interest in the health care field or long term care work environment setting.

The internship should provide the student with an opportunity to link what has been learned in the classroom to learning with real-world administrative experiences in the work setting. The program will be geared towards the student’s educational interests as well as an emphasis in long term care regulations, standards of care, facility operations, policies and procedures, resident rights, quality improvement initiatives, HIPAA and confidentiality guidelines, and labor relations.
