The Allegheny County Medical Examiner's Office is offering a one year fellowship training in Forensic pathology commencing July 1st. 2003. This fellowship is fully accredited by the ACGME. The Medical Examiner's Office investigates over 6000 cases and performs autopsies in over 1200 cases. A completely equipped and staffed Toxicology and Crime laboratory are part of the Medical Examiner's Office. The selected fellow will receive training in scene investigation, forensic toxicology, firearms, odontology, and anthropology in addition he will perform about 250 autopsies.
This fellowship in only intended for graduates of an accredited five year residency program in pathology.
