Onorato Announces Local Allocation and Use of More Than $3.2 Million in U.S. Department of Justice Stimulus Funding

PITTSBURGH — Allegheny County Executive Dan Onorato today announced the allocation and use of more than $3.2 million in Justice Assistance Grants for Allegheny County and 34 cities, boroughs and townships. The funding is part of the American Recovery & Reinvestment Act through the U.S. Department of Justice. Allegheny County is the administrator and fiscal agent for the grants.

“Thanks to these federal funds, law enforcement agencies across Allegheny County will get the latest technology and equipment to keep our communities safe,” said Onorato. “These purchases will also help to stimulate the economy.” 

The allocation and use of the grants is as follows:
