Three residents of Kane McKeesport earned gold medals in their respective groups during the Special Olympics Allegheny County Singles Bowling Tournament held at AMF Mount Lebanon Lanes in Mount Lebanon on Jan. 10.

The Kane McKeesport gold-medal winning bowlers were Margaret Frena, Matthew Geracitano and Doris Davis. Kane McKeesport Recreation Therapist Ken Schmigel coordinated Kane’s participation in the Special Olympics Allegheny County event.

More than 250 athletes from more than 11 training sites in Allegheny County participated in the bowling competition.
