Deer Creek Bridge in Harmar Twp. to Close for One Day on Mon., Jan. 25

PITTSBURGH — Allegheny County Public Works today announced that Deer Creek Bridge No. 4 on Rich Hill Road in Harmar Township will be closed from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Mon., Jan. 25, for the purpose of setting new bridge beams.

The Allegheny County Department of Public Works maintains 810 lane-miles of road, more than 520 bridges, and more than 12,000 acres of parkland and related facilities. In addition, the Department maintains and improves building infrastructure and ensures the safety and reliability of the County’s vehicle fleet and heavy equipment.

On November 28, 2007, the Allegheny County Department of Public Works became the first public works agency in Pennsylvania to be accredited by the American Public Works Association. It is only the 46th agency in North America to have earned this prestigious award.
