PITTSBURGH — Allegheny County Executive Dan Onorato today issued the following statement on the passing of Congressman John P. Murtha Jr.:

“Congressman Murtha was tremendously dedicated to his constituents, and he always fought for them and for what he believed in,” said Onorato. “His service to our country on the battlefield and in the U.S. House of Representatives was truly inspiring. Our Commonwealth has lost a great man and a great public servant. He will be deeply missed.”
