PITTSBURGH — Allegheny County Public Works today announced the ramp that carries traffic from Kenmawr Avenue to South Braddock Avenue (toward Swissvale and I-376) will be closed after 9:00 a.m. on Monday, June 28, to allow for roadway pavement construction at the north end of the Rankin Bridge. The ramp will remain closed for approximately three weeks.
The detour route will have traffic continue on Kenmawr Avenue to South Braddock Avenue at Hawkins Village. A map is available at www.alleghenycounty.us/publicworks/rankin.aspx. The bus stop on South Braddock Avenue at Hawkins Village will be modified slightly due to the detour. Port Authority will post signs alerting riders to the changes.
The exit ramp carrying traffic from the Rankin Bridge to Kenmawr Avenue will remain open at all times. The ramp will be adjusted periodically to accommodate paving operations.
