Pittsburgh’s own East End Kids, a professional teen ensemble, will perform at the Kane Ross Center at 7 p.m. on July 27.
Last summer, the East End Kids entertained approximately 75 residents at Kane Ross. The performance was such a hit that residents and staff invited the East End Kids back for an encore.
“Last summer’s show was exciting and entertaining,” said Dana Nicodemus, Therapeutic Recreation Supervisor at Kane Ross. “The East End Kids put smiles on the faces of our residents, and that’s what is most important to us.”
“The East End Kids were wonderful and enjoyed by all last year,” said Sue Crump, Kane Ross Volunteer Coordinator. “We are eagerly looking forward to the group’s return. The residents and staff really appreciated last year’s performance, and it was neat to see some of Pittsburgh’s own talent at its best.”
Fund-raising efforts through the Kane Ross Snack Shop sales enabled the center to book the East End Kids. The ensemble performs a medley of songs and encourages audience participation.
“The event will be even more special and much more appreciated because our fund-raising efforts through the Snack Shop made the performance possible,” Crump said.
