PITTSBURGH — Allegheny County Public Works today announced the ramp that carries traffic from Kenmawr Avenue to South Braddock Avenue (toward Swissvale and I-376) will remain closed for roadway pavement construction at the north end of the Rankin Bridge. The ramp was to reopen on Monday, July 19, but inclement weather has hindered construction. The ramp is now scheduled to reopen by July 30.

The detour route has traffic continuing on Kenmawr Avenue to South Braddock Avenue at Hawkins Village. A map is available at www.alleghenycounty.us/publicworks/rankin.aspx. The bus stop on South Braddock Avenue at Hawkins Village has been modified due to the detour. Port Authority has posted signs alerting riders to the changes. Information is also available on Port Authority’s website at www.portauthority.org.

The exit ramp carrying traffic from the Rankin Bridge to Kenmawr Avenue will remain open at all times. The ramp will be adjusted periodically to accommodate paving operations.
