A leprechaun visited the John J. Kane Regional Center in Scott Township recently.

Actually, Trina Janura, an entertainer who has been a hit at Kane Scott, performed a special St. Patrick’s Day show at the center as 70 residents watched. Janura, who has been entertaining for more than 20 years, moved back to her native Pittsburgh after spending two decades in New York. She sings and plays guitar and flute.

“Trina always has a smile on her face, and the residents really appreciate her show,” said Marci Donovan,  Recreation Therapy Supervisor at Kane Scott. “She interacted with the residents well, wandering through the crowd and singing to some of them individually.

“Trina was dressed as a leprechaun and had many other props and costumes to liven up the day. The residents had smiles on their faces and were requesting for Trina to come back again.  Feet were tapping, and residents were singing along.”

Janura has performed at Scott in the past and apparently will return due to popular demand.
