Allegheny County Offers Free Traveling Sports Clinics

PITTSBURGH – The schedule for the 2013 Allegheny County Traveling Sports Clinics was announced today with the program beginning on Monday, June 24 and continuing for six weeks through Friday, August 2.  Offered Monday through Friday, between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. (noon) and 12:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. at locations throughout the county, except on rain days and holidays.

Allegheny County offers community-based sports clinics for youth ages six and up through Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funding.  The clinics are free of charge and offer instruction in proper sports techniques to help each child perform to the best of his or her ability.  The clinics also emphasize fundamental rules of play and fair play.
