Allegheny County Sports & Athletic Complex at Montour Junction will be a new recreational park located on 78 acres of land in Coraopolis, Moon Township and Robinson Township. (Municipal Boundaries)

The park plan includes a number of nontraditional athletic fields, recreational programming, trout fishing, and an extension of the Montour Trail. The park will be bordered by PA Route 51 to the west and south, the CSX Railroad and Coraopolis Bridge to the north, and residential areas to the east. (Phase 1 & II Development)

The head of the Montour Trail is approximately one mile to the south. Montour Run, a stocked trout stream, bisects the property. (Existing & Proposed Trails)

The Sports Legacy Foundation donated the 78 acres of property in 2008. The Redevelopment Authority of Allegheny County has been working with its consultants on pre-development work for the property, which includes Act 2 environmental approvals from the Department of Environmental Protection, property surveys, property deed language, and applications to funding agencies. A traffic study is also underway.
