Community Development Block Grant Program-Recovery
(CDBG-R) Funds

Background

One Billion dollars were made available nationwide for the Community Development Block Grant-Recovery Program. HUD grantees have been allocated funding based upon the existing statutory formula.
Allegheny County received $4,388,627.

Use of Funds

Most of the full range of CDBG eligible activities may generally be funded. In keeping with the eligible use of funds, Allegheny County will be using the funds for the following activities:

Critical repair of existing sewer segments in various census tract eligible communities to comply with the DEP Consent Order for elimination of sanitary sewer overflows.
