Our Mission

The mission of the Veterans Leadership Program is to address existing and emerging needs facing veterans and to increase the self-esteem and well being of veterans and their immediate families. Our primary focus is to provide assistance to unemployed, underemployed, and homeless veterans.

The VLP is a non-profit organization which has provided job assistance and supportive services of the veteran community of Southwestern Pennsylvania since 1982. This agency was founded by Vietnam-era veterans to improve the image and quality of life for ALL veterans of the United States Armed Services, including those who served during peace time.

Help for Homeless Veterans
(Pittsburgh Office only)

It's almost impossible to find a job if you don't have decent clothing, food, or a place to live. And it's almost impossible to get those necessities without a job.

We can help you break this vicious cycle.

VLP's Homeless Veteran's Program provides emergency housing and food provision referrals in addition to our job assistance programs.

We can help you break the vicious cycle of fear, hunger, and poverty for yourself and your family.
