The office of the County Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the county’s departments.

The County Manager and deputy ensure that all county employees are empowered with the resources they need to effectively and efficiently serve the local community, businesses, institutions, and other government agencies to the best of their abilities, to meet their goals and initiatives, and to implement the policies and procedures required by the Administrative Code.

Additionally, the County Manager is the implementation arm of the County Executive.

The office contains a CountyStat division that supports the office in making data-driven decisions and leads Allegheny County’s open data initiative.
