The Department of Budget and Finance prepares the annual comprehensive fiscal plan and proposed budgets at the direction of the County Executive and County Manager. Those documents are then presented to County Council as part of that body's budget process. Once a budget is passed and either signed, or allowed to become law without signature, the department develops managerial and financial strategies to assist the County Executive in fulfilling their budget commitments. The staff are also responsible for the preparation and submission of fund usage reports required by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
