Infectious Disease Epidemiology

The Infectious Disease Epidemiology (IDE) Program is responsible for surveillance of all infectious reportable conditions, investigation of disease outbreaks, and monitoring of vaccination coverage. Approximately 70 infectious diseases/conditions are reportable to the Health Department. Pennsylvania regulations specify that disease/conditions are to be reported electronically via PA-NEDSS.
