Marbles Program Tournaments

01 Apr 2026 Allegheny County hosts a free annual marble competition series for youth ages 7-14. Previous knowledge and experience is not required. Instructors are onsite to teach how to play and oversee the tournaments.

Traveling Glass Recycling

04 Apr 2026 Glass bottles and jars are 100% recyclable and can be recycled for reuse endlessly without losing any quality! The traveling glass bin will be at each location for nearly a month, available daily from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm. All colors of glass are accepted; containers must be empty; caps, lids, and labels are okay.

09 May 2026 Pre-registration is required. Collection event provides responsible and convenient disposal for items that are not eligible for curbside recycling. At these events, individuals have been able to recycle items such as e-waste, cell phones, polystyrene, Freon-containing appliances, tires, computer monitors, tvs and more.
