Hartwood Acres Park

Located on 629 acres in the Hampton and Indiana Townships, Hartwood Acres Park is one of the two parks that host the county's free Summer Concert Series.

Other amenities include mansion tours, three-course high teas, a dog park, and trails for cross-country skiing, walking, hiking, and horseback riding.

About Hartwood Acres Park

Did You Know? Hartwood Acres Park contains one of the largest equestrian country estates, with a Tudor mansion designed by Alfred Hopkins for John and Mary Flinn Lawrence and erected in 1929. Visitors can explore 16th -century architectural design and English and American antiques in excellent condition.

Along with the mansion, stroll through the gardens, ride horseback, cross -country ski or hike on wooded trails, or take in a free summer concert at the amphitheater.

Carol R. Brown Sculpture Garden

Named for the former director of Allegheny County’s Bureau of Cultural Programs, the Carol R. Brown Sculpture Garden at Hartwood Acres opened in 2022 and contains 14 sculptures that can be viewed on an accessible path.
