A New Type of Basketball

Bankshot Basketball

BankshotTM Basketball

Interested in a new basketball challenge? South Park features standard basketball courts and a unique basketball skills challenge called Bankshot™ basketball. Players of all ages and abilities can play through a course described as “mini golf with a basketball.”

Players of all ages and abilities, including disabled participants, proceed through a course of 21 angled, curved and non-conventionally configured brightly colored backboards, banking shots off the backboards and through the rims. Some shots demand caroms off two backboards. Some are ricochets and some diabolically maddening shots have three backboards and two rims. Players may use a scorecard to track their score as they shoot increasingly difficult shots at each of the stations. Bankshot Sports™ are non-aggressive and entirely inclusionary. Participants play alongside, not against, each other.

Rules and Scoring

Rules and Scoring

As a player goes from one station to the next, at each station, you bank shots off the Bankboards™ and through the nets. Depending on where you shoot from, you get a different number of points.

Colored circles mark the shooting spots. Try 2 shots from each circle to make one. If the first try is successful, move to the next shooting position. You must complete all 3 circles at each station before moving on.

10 points maximum at each station with bonus points at double hoop stations.

Blue circle is worth 2 points, Yellow circle is worth 3 points, Red circle is worth 5 points
