Programs and Events
Both ice rinks offer several ice skating and hockey programs for ages three and older. Registration is required for each class.
Hours
Ice rinks are typically open through mid-March, weather and conditions permitting. Open stick time sessions are only offered on Mondays and Wednesdays.
All hours are subject to change during the season.

Allegheny County no longer offers a season pass for skating at the North and South Park ice rinks.

Skate rental size ranges from toddler's size 6 through men's size 14 (no half sizes). Skate assistance walkers are available free of cost, upon request and availability.
Group Rates
Group rates are available with a 24-hour advance notice for groups of 20 or more. The group rate discount is $1.00 off per person, and is not available for Friday or Saturday night sessions. Group rates cannot be applied when purchasing tickets online. Please contact the ice rink directly for more information.
Rink Rules
North & South Park Ice Rink Facility Rules
- Skate session times are being enforced. Patrons must pay again if they wish to skate during the next session
- Not responsible for accidents, lost or stolen articles
- No smoking or vaping
- Fighting, swearing and aggressive or dangerous skating is cause for removal from facility
- No one permitted on surface without skates
- No racing, skate trains or chains
- No skates on stairs and bleachers
- No sitting on rink boards
- No skating while holding children
- No outside food or drink
- No food or drink on the ice
If there is a problem, rink staff should be notified immediately.
