Part of Mt. Troy Road Extension in Ross to Close Starting on March 9

PITTSBURGH – The Department of Public Works announced today that the 4500 block of Mt. Troy Road Extension in Ross will close starting at 9 a.m. on Monday, March 9, 2026. The closure, which is expected to end in June, is required for construction of a retaining wall and embankment, roadway repairs, and installation of guide rail and pavement markings.
Traffic will be detoured using Mt. Troy Road. Residents who live within and near the closure area will have access to their homes at all times.
Mt. Troy Road Extension is used by an average of 389 drivers daily.
Carmen Paliotta Contracting of South Park is the primary construction contractor for the $1.9 million project.
