Offices Closed Monday for Martin Luther King Jr. Day Holiday
Published on January 16, 2026
PITTSBURGH – All Allegheny County offices, including the Courts, Council, and the independently elected offices, will be closed on Monday, January 19, 2026, in observance of the Martin Luther King Jr. Day holiday. All offices will return to regular business hours on Tuesday, January 20, 2026.
As has become a tradition, the Department of Human Services’ KEYS Service AmeriCorps will commemorate the Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service by volunteering at The Education Partnership. KEYS members will help teachers shop for free school supplies and assist with stocking inventory, organizing, and cleaning. The Partnership provides supplies to under-resourced schools in Southwestern PA, many of which serve as host sites for KEYS members. Press who want to cover this may contact dhs-media@alleghenycounty.us.
Allegheny County Parks’ Offices will be closed. For the latest information on Parks facility closings or scheduling changes due to weather or conditions, follow Allegheny County Parks on Facebook.
