Allegheny County Offices Closed Monday, January 26

PITTSBURGH – County offices will be closed due to severe weather conditions on Monday, January 26. That includes non-essential functions such as administrative offices. County facilities will be closed to the public, including parks. Where possible, county employees are encouraged to work remotely. Essential services are still functioning.
All Divisions of the Allegheny County Court of Common Pleas, all Magisterial District Courts in Allegheny County, and Pittsburgh Municipal Court will be closed. Arraignment Court will remain open. Emergency Protection from Abuse Orders can be obtained at Arraignment Court located at 660 First Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15219.
The Sheriff’s Office will be open with the exception of the Real Estate, Civil Process, and Firearms divisions, which will be closed.
The Controller’s Office, Treasurer’s Office, and District Attorney’s Office will all be closed to the public.
The Allegheny County Jail will be closed to visitors. Arraignment Court will remain open.
Winter shelter is open, and people staying outside are strongly encouraged to come inside. Adults (without children) in need of shelter are encouraged to visit Second Avenue Commons (700 Second Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15219) or call the Allegheny Link. Families with children experiencing homelessness in Allegheny County should contact the Allegheny Link immediately at 1-866-730-2368.
Main phone lines remain open, including 988 for crisis support and 211 for basic needs, including food and utilities.
Protective services operations remain active and can be reached by phone. To report abuse or neglect of an older adult, call 412-350-6905. To report abuse or neglect of a child, call 412-473-2000.
