Deputy Director

Simone McMeans

Simone McMeans serves as the Deputy Director at the Allegheny County Department of Economic Development. A graduate of Point Park University, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, Simone has ten years of experience in economic development including contracting, project management, financial management, and regulatory compliance. She administers approximately $17 million dollars in Federal grant funding, including the Community Development Bock Grant (CDBG), and the HOME Investment Partnership Programs, from the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).

Simone is an Allegheny County native, currently residing in North Versailles Township who is passionate about doing the work to help enhance the economic standard and wellbeing, for all residents of County.
