Allegheny County Eco Night
2025 Eco Night
Join Allegheny County’s Sustainability Department for the 2025 Eco Night on Sunday, July 13, 2025 from 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm at the beautiful Hartwood Acres amphitheater. This family-friendly, zero-waste event is a great opportunity to boost eco-IQ and learn how to take action to protect the local environment and community through hands-on activities, demonstrations, games, and more.
All food trucks onsite use eco-friendly packaging, and appropriate waste disposable stations will be available throughout the event area. Eco Night will be followed by an amazing free concert by Mo Lowda and the Humble.
Participating Organizations
There will be tables, activities, and stations provided by Allegheny County teams and local organizations including:

- Penn State Extension Master Watershed Steward Program - educating and empowering volunteers to protect environmental resources.

- Pittsburgh Regional Transit - safe, reliable, and affordable public transport in Allegheny County
- PRC - a Pennsylvania where nothing is wasted
- Pittsburgh Water Collaboratory - research, education, outreach
- ROCIS - dedicated to monitoring and improving indoor air quality in the homes and workplaces where people spend their time
- STGMNA SWPA - empowering communities by restoring truth, protecting sacred land and health, and advancing the rights and sovereignty of Aboriginal American Nations through advocacy, healing, and strategic action

2024 Eco Night Impact
A special thank you to past participants and organizations who joined in the efforts to make the 2024 Eco Night so successful! With the goals of exceeding last year's impact and diverting more than 90% of generated waste this year, here's a quick breakdown of impact of the 2024 Eco Night efforts:
- 79% of waste generated was diverted from landfill via recycling and composting
- Over 200 lbs of material was recycled
- Over 130 lbs of material was composted
