Preliminary Land Development Plan

Public Meeting Notice
Pursuant to Section 502(a) and (c) of the Pennsylvania Municipalities Planning Code (MPC), and Section 780-303C.5 of the Allegheny County Subdivision and Land Development Ordinance, the Planning Division of Allegheny County Economic Development (ACED) will hold public meetings to review the following item regarding 151 Porter Street in Springdale Borough:

Allegheny DC Propco LLC Preliminary Land Development Plan (Springdale Data Center)

Preliminary Review

As part of the review process, ACED Planning Division has issued comments on the preliminary application(PDF, 305KB) for the proposed Springdale Data Center.

Public Meetings

Allegheny County will be conducting two meetings, one virtual and one in-person, to provide the opportunity for public comment. Members of the Allegheny County community may register to attend one or both meetings. These meetings are part of an ongoing public engagement process, and additional opportunities to comment will be announced as the process continues. Register to Provide Public Comment or Submit Written Comments

Those interested in speaking at either public meeting can register online. Those who register in advance to provide public comment will be called upon first at the meetings. Public comments may also be submitted in writing through the registration form as part of the public meeting process.

Written comments will be accepted through Monday, November 30, 2026. Comments received after that date may not be included in the public meeting record.

Public Comment Guidelines

The following guidelines are in effect for both the virtual and in-person public meetings:

  • Order of Comments: Those who register in advance to provide public comment will be called first. Individuals who register to provide public comment at the meeting will then be called to provide comment.
  • Introduction: Individuals providing public comment are required to state their name and ZIP code for the record.
  • Comment Time: All individuals providing public comment will be allotted two (2) minutes for comment. A 30-second end-of-comment signal will be provided.
  • Recording Notice: Both public meetings will be recorded. For the in‑person meeting, a stenographer and a video recording will document the proceedings. The virtual meeting will also be recorded. Public comments shared verbally or submitted through the virtual meeting chat will be included in the record.
  • Respectful Engagement: To ensure a respectful and productive public meeting, participants are expected to treat others with courtesy. Comments and questions should remain constructive and free of personal attacks or offensive language. Disruptive individuals may be asked to leave the meeting.
  • Stay on Topic: Individuals providing public comment are required to focus public comment on the subject matter under review. Off topic or repetitive questions may be redirected to keep the conversation productive.

Media and Photography Notice

Event participants may be photographed or filmed by Allegheny County, their respective employees, agents and assigns, and the photograph and/or other digital reproduction of participants or physical likeness may be published in print, digitally and/or electronically, in any media including, without limitation, the internet.
