The Foundation of HOPE and the Allegheny County Jail welcomed Diocese of Pittsburgh Bishop David Zubik to the jail on Holy Thursday, April 17, 2025.
Emulating the actions of Jesus during the Last Supper, Bishop Zubik washed the feet of a dozen incarcerated men before leading them in Mass in the jail’s Contact Visits Room.
Following the service, the Bishop joined about 40 incarcerated individuals in a reception that included doughnuts and juice.
This marked Bishop Zubik’s second Holy Thursday visit since the COVID-19 pandemic.
