Resource Fair Returns to ACJ
Published on October 07, 2025
The Substance Use Resource Fair returned outside the entrance of the Allegheny County Jail on Thursday, October 2, 2025.
Stacie Brown from the Allegheny County Health Department was one of several people working at tables and booths filled with pamphlets, resources and “swag” for passersby to pick up.
Workers were also available to answer questions and talk about resources available in the community.
Brown, community engagement lead for the Bureau of Food, Safety, Housing and Policy Overdose Prevention Program, said she handed out about 36 boxes of Narcan as the fair entered its final hours.
ACJ partners with the Health Department for resource fairs at different points throughout the year.
Connie Clark, ACJ Deputy Warden for Programs and Services, said the fairs provide an opportunity for community partners who provide substance use support to spread the word about their services to families coming for visits, individuals being released and ACJ staff entering or exiting the building.
