Juvenile Detention Advisory Board

 

An existing state statute grants the authority for Allegheny County to appoint a committee of 10 members to provide professional expertise to ensure a juvenile detention facility operates safely and in the best interest of the young people who are detained.

Appointed in June 2025, the following individuals currently serve on the Allegheny County Juvenile Detention Advisory Board:

  • Hon. Tiffany E. Sizemore - Allegheny County Court of Common Pleas
  • Dr. Kathi Elliott - Chief Executive Officer, Gwen’s Girls
  • Richard Garland - Executive Director, Reimagine Reentry
  • Kristy Trautmann - Executive Director,  FISA Foundation
  • Dr. Terri Collin Dilmore - Clinical and Forensic Psychologist; Assistant Professor, Howard University
  • Hon. Jennifer S. McCrady - Allegheny County Court of Common Pleas
  • Dr. Edward Mulvey - Professor of Psychiatry Emeritus; Former Director of the Law and Psychiatry Program, University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine
  • Cheyenne Tyler - Executive Director, Café Momentum
  • County Executive Sara Innamorato*
  • Acting County Controller Amy Weise Clements*
