Success Stories

Becky

Becky started her career at Kane as a CNA and worked her way through the Career Ladder to RN. When she was a small child she helped care for her beloved grandmother who had fallen ill. Ever since then, she has wanted to be a nurse.

- Becky, CNA

Melissa

Melissa started at Kane Scott as a CNA, then an RN, progressed to Assistant Director of Nursing and, eventually, the Director of Nursing. She is now the Nursing Home Administrator (NHA) at Kane Glen Hazel. The Kane Career Ladder program helped along the way by providing financial backing and tuition assistance.

Kathy

Kathy was working on her pre-requisite courses at Penn State when she found out about the Kane Career Ladder from a nurse friend at Kane. The friend suggested that she go through the free CNA Training Program before going all the way through nursing school and maybe finding out she didn’t want to become a nurse. After becoming a CNA, she then went through the Career Ladder all the way up to MSN!
