County Fire Marshal Confirms Two Fatalities in South Fayette Fire

(PITTSBURGH) - At 1:14 pm today, Allegheny County 9-1-1 received a call reporting a house fire on the 5000 block of Tom’s Run Road in South Fayette Township. Several fire departments from South Fayette Township and the surrounding area worked to bring the fire under control.

Initially responders on scene could not confirm occupancy and made several contacts to confirm the whereabouts of the occupants while completing their scene search. After a search, firefighters located two residents deceased on the second floor of the home.

South Fayette PD, County Homicide and Medical Examiner’s Office also assisted with the initial investigation. The origin and cause of the fire are under investigation by Allegheny County Fire Marshal’s Office.
