Line Street in Rankin to Close Starting on April 15

PITTSBURGH – The Department of Public Works announced today that Line Street in Rankin will close at 9 a.m. on Monday, April 15, 2024. The closure is expected to end in December 2024. It is required as part of the ongoing Braddock Avenue/Kenmawr Avenue ramp replacement project.

Traffic will be detoured using Hamilton Street, Fleet Street, Holland Avenue, and Second Street. Hamilton Street, which is a one-way road, will temporarily allow two-way traffic during the Line Street closure.

The Braddock Avenue/Kenmawr Avenue ramp, Fleet Street between West Braddock Avenue and Maple Way, and Maple Way between Fleet Street and Pattison Avenue have been closed since February 26, 2024 as part of the project.

The $9.3 million project, which is expected to end in 2025, is being done by Mosites Construction Company of Robinson.
