PITTSBURGH – The Department of Public Works announced today that part of the 400 block of Baileys Run Road in East Deer will close starting at 9 a.m. on Monday, May 6, 2024. The closure, which is expected to end in July 2024, is required for construction of a retaining wall, drainage improvements, milling and paving, and replacement of pavement markings.

Traffic will be detoured using Russellton Airport Road, Butler Logan Road, Crawford Run Road, and Freeport Road.

After the 400 block of Baileys Run Road reopens, part of the 200 block will close. That closure, which is expected to end in October 2024, is required for construction of a retaining wall, drainage improvements, milling and paving, and replacement of pavement markings. When the start date for that closure has been finalized, that information will be provided to the public via press release, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Nextdoor, and Allegheny Alerts.

Baileys Run Road is used by an average of 4,363 drivers daily.

The $1.5 million project will be done by Pugliano Construction Company, Inc., of Plum.
