Board of Elections Certifies Special Election; Approves Plans for 5/20

PITTSBURGH – Today the Allegheny County Board of Elections certified the election results from the March 25, 2025, special election for HD-35.

It also approved plans for the May 20, 2025, primary election including satellite offices and ballot return sites.

Elections staff will run four satellite offices, where voters can apply for a mail in ballot and vote it on site, the weekend of May 10-11 from 9 am – 5 pm. The locations will be:

  • CCAC Homewood; 701 N. Homewood Ave, Pittsburgh 15208
  • North Park Ice Rink; 1200 Pearce Mill Rd, Wexford 15090
  • South Park Ice Rink; 30 Corrigan Dr, Bethel Park 15102
  • County Office Building; 542 Forbes Ave, Pittsburgh 15219

Ballot return sites will be open Friday, May 16, 2025, through Monday, May 19, 2025, from 11 am – 7 pm. Completed mail in ballots may be returned at these locations. The locations will be:

  • 911 Center; 150 Hookstown Grade Rd, Moon Twp 15108
  • Boyce Park Four Seasons Lodge; 901 Centerview Dr, Plum 15239
  • Carnegie Public Library; 5801 Forbes Ave, Pittsburgh 15217
  • North Park Ice Rink; 1200 Pearce Mill Rd, Wexford 15090
  • South Park Ice Rink; 30 Corrigan Dr, Bethel Park 15102
  • Dormont Pool; 1801 Dormont Ave, Pittsburgh 15216
  • CCAC Homewood; 701 N. Homewood Ave, Pittsburgh 15208
  • Greater Pittsburgh Food Bank; 1 N. Linden St, Duquesne 15110
  • Avalon Public Library; 317 S. Home Ave, Pittsburgh 15202
  • County Office Building; 542 Forbes Ave, Pittsburgh 15219

County Executive Sara Innamorato said: “I’m pleased we can continue to make elections accessible for all voters through satellite offices and ballot return sites. More than 25,000 voters in Allegheny County used these options in last year’s general election. We want to remind voters that elections happen two times a year, every year so mark your calendar for the May 20 primary and make your plan to vote.”
