Andy Warhol Bridge to Close July 21-25 and July 28-August 1

PITTSBURGH – The Department of Public Works announced today that the Andy Warhol (Seventh Street) Bridge in Pittsburgh will close from 6 a.m. on Monday, July 21 to 3 p.m. on Friday, July 25 and from 6 a.m. on Monday, July 28 to 3 p.m. on Friday, August 1. The closures are required for crews to safely conduct routine inspection activities.
During the closures, traffic will be detoured using Fort Duquesne Boulevard, the Rachel Carson (Ninth Street) Bridge, and Isabella Street.
The bridge inspection will be done by STV of Pittsburgh and Sofis Company of Independence, PA.
The 1,061-foot Andy Warhol Bridge carries an average of 4,549 vehicles daily over the Allegheny River between Downtown and the North Shore. The bridge, which opened in 1926, underwent a $25.6 million rehabilitation project from 2016 to 2017.
During the bridge’s last inspection on May 5, 2023, inspectors gave it a condition rating of 5 (fair condition) on a 0-9 scale based on National Bridge Inspection Standards (NBIS) established by the Federal Highway Administration.
