Allegheny County Code Red Heat Advisory Extended to 7/29 and 7/30

PITTSBURGH – Allegheny County is extending its Code Red Heat Advisory for Tuesday, July 29 and Wednesday, July 30 in response to forecasted weather that may pose a risk to vulnerable residents on those dates. The advisory may be extended further as updated forecasts become available.
The latest list of open cooling centers, activation dates, and updates are posted at acdhs.org/codered. Residents who need assistance connecting to a cooling center or seeking other non-emergency assistance are encouraged to call 2-1-1.
The following locations will serve as cooling centers on July 29-30 from 8 am – 7 pm. Check the website for updates as municipalities may announce additional cooling centers.
