Lane Closure on Thompson Run Road in Ross Ends

Thompson Run Road at Thompson Run North Side Bridge No. 2 in Ross

PITTSBURGH – The Department of Public Works announced today that the northbound lane of Thompson Run Road in Ross at Thompson Run North Side Bridge No. 2 has reopened to traffic. The bridge is located just north of Evergreen Road. The lane closure, which began on October 27, 2025, was required for repairs to a bridge abutment.

Pugliano Construction Company of Plum was the prime construction contractor, and the project was done as part of a $1.5 million contract that included work on three other bridges.

Thompson Run North Side Bridge No. 2 is used by an average of 16,520 vehicles daily. It has a condition rating of 4 (poor condition) on a 0-9 scale based on National Bridge Inspection Standards (NBIS) established by the Federal Highway Administration.
