ACJ Announces ServSafe, Restaurant Ready Training Collaboration

Allegheny County Jail Administrator of Re-Entry Services Amy Kroll announced today that the jail has partnered with Community Kitchen Pittsburgh (CKP), the Pennsylvania Restaurant and Lodging Association Educational Foundation (PRLAEF) and the National Restaurant Association Education Foundation (NRAEF) to provide ServSafe and Restaurant Ready training certifications to jail re-entry residents.

Part of Baileys Run Road in East Deer to Close Starting on April 6

The Department of Public Works announced today that part of the 500 block of Baileys Run Road in East Deer will close starting at 9 a.m. on Monday, April 6, 2026. The closure, which is expected to end in June, is required for construction of a retaining wall, drainage improvements, roadway repairs, and the installation of pavement markings.

The Department of Public Works announced today that lane closures on Browns Hill Road between Beechwood Boulevard/Hazelwood Avenue and the Homestead Grays Bridge in Pittsburgh will start at on Monday, April 6, 2026. The lane closures, which are expected to end in May, are required for roadway joint repairs and the installation of pavement markings.
