COURTESY RELEASE: Roberto Clemente Bridge to Close During Weekend

The Department of Public Works announced today that it has granted a permit to the March of Dimes to close the Roberto Clemente (Sixth Street) Bridge in Pittsburgh for the Western and Central PA March for Babies. The closure will occur from 9 a.m. on Saturday, April 26, 2025 through 5 p.m. on Sunday, April 27, 2025.

REMINDER: Talbot Avenue Ramp in Rankin to Close Starting on Monday

The Department of Public Works announced that the Talbot Avenue ramp in Rankin will close starting at 9 a.m. on Monday, April 7, 2025. The ramp is located between the Braddock Avenue/Kenmawr Avenue/Talbot Avenue intersection and Fleet Street. Also, Kenmawr Avenue will be reduced to one lane in each direction between Carrie Furnace Boulevard and Braddock Avenue.

The Department of Public Works announced today that the Talbot Avenue ramp in Rankin will close starting at 9 a.m. on Monday, April 7, 2025. The ramp is located between the Braddock Avenue/Kenmawr Avenue/Talbot Avenue intersection and Fleet Street. Also, Kenmawr Avenue will be reduced to a single lane of traffic in each direction between Carrie Furnace Boulevard and Braddock Avenue.

Public Works Highlights 2024 Accomplishments in Annual Report

The Department of Public Works has published its 2024 Annual Report that spotlights its many accomplishments. Last year, thanks to a $46.4 million capital investment and a $29.7 million operating budget, the department’s contractors and in-house crews completed 59 major construction projects that improved county-owned roads, bridges, tunnels, and retaining walls.
