Latodami Nature Center has been providing quality programming to the public, schools, scouts, and other groups since its creation in 1969. Latodami’s guided programs are designed to get people out into the natural world and explore the wide diversity of habitats and wildlife found in the Allegheny County Parks system and western Pennsylvania region.

About Latodami Private Programs

  • Programs are scheduled 6 months in advance
  • February and March programs are reserved for on-site Maple Syrup Making programs only
  • Private programs are not scheduled on weekends, or between June to August. as these times are for public programming
  • Private programming is available Monday to Thursdays between 8:00 am to 9:00 pm, and Fridays between 8:00 am to 4:00 pm
  • Programs are required to have at least 10 participants, large groups can be accommodated on request
  • Programs can be scheduled on-site at Latodami Nature Center or throughout North Park, or offsite throughout northern Allegheny County
  • Groups can request no more than two programs per year
  • Program topics can be anything related to the environment - explore suggested program topics in the Program Guide(PDF, 26MB)
  • Programs can be designed to fit into the Pennsylvania STEELs Curriculum Framework: 3.4 Environmental Literacy and Sustainability
  • Accommodations can be requested through the Allegheny County ADA Coordinator
