Close out the winter season at Boyce Park's Spring Splash, on Friday, March 13, 2026, with terrain park challenges, cardboard box derby, and the annual pond skim contest. There will also be music and food and beverages available for purchase during the event.
Rental equipment, lessons, and general lift tickets for skiing and snowboarding will not be available during this event. All participants must sign waiver(s) for these events.
Lift Tickets for Spring Splash
Registration to participate in the terrain park challenges and pond skim contest includes a lift ticket. Only one ticket per person is required to participate in either or both events. All participants must have a signed waiver on file.
Cost: $20 Resident | $25 Non-Resident
Terrain Park and Pond Skim Registration
Terrain Park
The terrain park will be open for the duration of the event, and includes jumps, rails, and boxes for skiers and snowboarders to test their skills.
Event Hours: 3:30 pm to 9:00 pm
Pond Skim
Skiers and snowboarders will try to skim across the entire distance of the ice-covered pond at the bottom of the hill. The pond skim is recommended for intermediate to advanced skiers and snowboarders.
Event Hours: 7:30 pm to 9:00 pm
Additional Tickets
A separate ticket is required to participate in the cardboard box derby, and on-site payment (cash only) is due at the time of the event. All participants must be at least 50" tall and sign a waiver. A parent or legal guardian must sign the waiver for participants ages 17 and under.
Cost: $10 per participant, cash only
Cardboard Box Derby Registration
Cardboard Box Derby
Participants will pre-construct a sled made of cardboard and duct tape and race down the snow tubing hill. The Boyce Park Ski Patrol must approve all sleds for use prior to the races.
Event Hours: 4:30 pm to 7:00 pm
Ages Brackets: 15 years and under | 16 years and older
