Alex Jutca, Director
Office of Analytics, Technology and Planning
Alex Jutca has been the director of the Office of Analytics, Technology and Planning since August 2021 where he oversees data analysis and research, software development, strategic planning, and new program incubation.
Alex came to DHS from Seattle where he built a data science team developing large-scale statistical models and algorithms at Amazon to optimize the company’s operations. Prior to Amazon, he was an Associate Director at Social Finance, a Boston-based non-profit organization dedicated to scaling high quality, evidence-based non-profit service providers, and he worked for the Federal Reserve Board in Washington, D.C. in its Division of Monetary Affairs, which advises the Board on monetary policy decisions.
A native of Washington, PA, Alex earned a Master in Public Policy degree from Harvard University and a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Villanova University.
