Allegheny County Music Festival Fund

Since 2000, the Allegheny County Music Festival Fund (ACMFF) has helped children and youth served by the Department of Human Services (DHS) and the Juvenile Section of the Family Division of the Court of Common Pleas access life-enriching experiences and meaningful items that are not typically covered by government funding. Through ACMFF, thousands of young people have received meaningful opportunities that support learning, creativity, connection, and personal growth.

ACMFF Funding

The Allegheny County Music Festival Fund is primarily funded through the Allegheny County Music Festival, which takes place each summer. In addition to festival proceeds, the Fund also receives contributions from organizations and individual donors. Donations may be sent to:

Eligibility

Children and youth are eligible to benefit from the ACMFF if they are receiving services through DHS, a DHS-contracted provider, or Allegheny County Juvenile Probation. The ACMFF supports children and youth up to age 18, though young adults up to age 21 may be eligible if they are still engaged in DHS services.

Supported Requests

Examples of approved requests may include, and are not limited to:

  • Dance or other recreational lessons
  • Computers (up to $350) and age-appropriate software
  • Developmental toys and learning items
  • Graduation-related expenses
  • College tours
  • Summer camp tuition
  • Registration fees for recreational activities
  • Memberships to cultural or educational attractions

Note: the ACMFF does not review requests for reimbursement of items or lessons that have already been purchased or completed.
