The State Realty Tax Law, Act 77 of 1986

In 1986, the State Legislature passed additional legislation regarding realty transfer taxes for local municipalities and school districts. Highlights of Act 77 include the taxing of 30-year leases, construction contracts, and real estate stock held in corporations and associations. Please contact the respective municipality and school district to determine if they have adopted Act 77.
